What is considered optimal free t3 levels?

Hi Thyroid UK community,

I wanted to know about the optimal free t3 range because my free t3 level was 2.7 on one test and the other test it was 3.2.

Thank you,

Solly

Most people feel best when their FT3 is in the upper part of the range, say the upper quarter, but it's very individual.

You've given your result but not the reference range, so not possible to comment on it.

Hi SeasideSusie,

The range is 2.3-4.2 pg/ml and my free t3 is 3.1.

3.1 is 42% through that range, so less than half way.

I would imagine the idea would be 3.8.
