Just a reminder to say that a few of us are meeting at Poplar Nursery at Marks Tey on 24 August at 12 noon. Please feel free to come and meet with us at the back of the Conservatory. I will have a copy of Harmony magazine on the table, so you know where to find us.

I did once suggest that I could do a Saturday afternoon group meeting once, but I had no interest in this. Would be prepared to meet up on a Saturday afternoon if enough people wanted it, but would prefer this was nearer to me in Braintree.

Thats fine for me although when i mentioned to her about meeting other people with the same condition she didn't seem that bothered which i think is a shame because we could learn so much from others! Xx

Vanessa09 , I did not mean to put you off coming to our group, but it is an awful long way to come for 2-3 hours. You'd be very welcome, but have you thought about starting a group yourself in your area. We just talk and learn from each other, but I think the Solihull group have speakers etc. We don't know how our group will progress in the future though. I agree with you it is good to learn from each other and find out what works and what does not.

Sorry not to be with you but I can't find the group - expect I'm just being v thick! Have walked through conservatory and restaurant twice and people are starting to find it strange that I'm staring at everyone...! I daren't go up to each table and ask if they're the thyroid group 😁. Do let me know when the next meet is and hopefully I will be able to find you all next time. X

Tasker , I have only just got home from meeting. There were four of us there sitting right outside the conservatory, but unfortunately I forgot the Harmony magazine. We did put a note on the table though, and kept an eye open for anyone who looked lost. So sorry you missed us. We are hoping to have the next meeting in early October on a Saturday, so hope you will try again and others will come too. We will arrange a definite date soon.

No worries, j_bee; I must work harder at looking lost 😉! Just frustrated with myself that I must have walked past two or three times and not seen the sign, but it was busy and I find sometimes in a busy place my eyes glaze over and I can't see for looking, if you know what I mean. Will definitely try and come next time if I can - sometimes have to work Saturdays but can often be flexible and fit in other things so fingers crossed... Think I can do 13 Oct but 6 Oct might be trickier, but will try! X

Hope you had a good look round Poplar and did not waste your time completely. So sorry you missed us though. Would be good to see you on 6 October. This was just a date we all agreed on at the time, but could change if anything crops up. Look forward to seeing you as and when.
