Hi. Just an update. Ref. To blue horizon blood tests, & their Dr's comments, (17 July 2018) I was advised to see my own Dr.

Went today to see my Dr, who will not accept blue horizon.

So no t4 or folate.

If anyone knows were I can purchase t4, could you please send me private message

Many thanks.

What are your vitamin D, folate and ferritin levels?

Do you have high thyroid antibodies?

Firstly thank you for your reply.

Results from b/horizon vit d 58 (25. 50)

Ferritin 67.5. ( 13. 150)

Folate 8.38. (8.83 60.8.)

NHS. Results. ( Date june. 2018.)

Vit d. 65.8. (50. 150)

Ferritin 67. (10. 300)

Folate 5.6. (. 3. 12)

My vit d in March 2018 75.2. (no range) my vit d is dropping down, I am on maintenance dose of 800iu cholecalciferol daily for the past 5yrs.

I took friend with me today, when I went to see the gp, for all of 5mins, & my friend was totally disgusted, has gp said blood tests weren't from local labs so totally ignored them. I have so many thyriod symptoms.

I was diagnosed by Dr. Skinner 2012. Private

Diagnosed by endo 2014. Private.

Gp's will not treat me.

Vitamin D is far too low. Dose needs increasing. Aiming to improve to around 100nmol. Vitamin D mouth spray by Better You is good as avoids poor gut function. Suggest you supplement 2000-3000iu for 2-3 months and retest. It's trial and error what dose each person needs.

Once you Improve level, very likely you will need on going maintenance dose to keep it there.

Retesting twice yearly via vitamindtest.org.uk

Also read up on importance of magnesium and vitamin K2 Mk7 supplements when taking vitamin D

There's no B12 result

Folate is too low. Likely to benefit from daily good quality vitamin B complex, one with folate in

But get B12 tested first before starting

Ferritin is just about ok, eating liver or liver pate once a week should help

Hi. I already take vit natto k2 mk7 with my vit d. ( found out about vit k's from HU. Forums.)

B/ Horizon result B12 High.

735 ( advice was reduce to 569).

I am going to purchase vit d spray. Also folate, what strength would you recommend 5mg ?.

I would have purchased the 2 items mentioned above, but having gp appointment, & b/Horizon results, I hoped I would have got the medication I required. (My visit was total waste of time.)

I would supplement a good vitamin B complex - eg Igennus super B or Jarrow B-right

A B complex keeps all B vitamins at good levels (not just B12 and folate)

But remember to stop any supplements that have biotin in 3-5 days before any blood tests

Always a good excuse on Biotin if you want to not have an afternoon blood test !

All thyroid tests must be as early as possible in morning and fasting

"" I had been supplementing with igennus super b complex,"" stopped them 1 week prior to b/Horizon blood tests. Had b/test done by home visit at 9-30am i couldn't book any earlier. Have now had to stop vit b due to level to high

nearly everyone who supplements B12 has high levels

Perhaps cut Igennus to one tablet per day, instead of two and add in extra folate

Hi- agree with other more experienced posters but just to say from your post are you able to change GP’s at all??

My tsh was 4.6 when I was first tried levo and that was due to having symptoms ( like yourself).

I don’t believe Levo is expensive for the GP to prescribe and your T4 etc doesn’t look like you would go over range with levo ( they aren’t any where near top of range). My antibodies are also okay - at the moment.

Thank you for your reply. I have had tsh of 5.3. Gp's still wouldn't treat. Yesterday took B/Horizon blood tests & their Dr's comments as adviced, to my dr's who flatly refused to accept them, because the weren't from our local labs they will only accept NHS. All dr's within my area seem to go by lab results only, it doesn't matter what or how many symptoms I have. I hadn't been to the dr's for appox 16 months, due to them being unhelpful, but leg cramps & nightmares were getting quite severe, & still suffering, even walking is becoming difficult. (changed surgery 's twice)

(. Tsh 5.3 was NHS )

Magnesium supplements often help with cramps.
