Do you need Vit C with Better You Iron spray?

Having looked at Better You Iron spray it contains no Vit C. I wondered as It bypasses the digestion system do you still need to take Vit C?

If anyone could advise that would be great.

Hope you're all enjoying Wimbledon & the football.........fingers crossed England!

I imagine that you are bound to swallow some of it, and Vitamin C is beneficial, so why not take a decent sized dose of vitamin C anyway? It won't do any harm and it could help.

That's very true. Would it still be beneficial if I took Vit C away from Iron? I've read it can keep you awake at night. As I take magnesium at night, away from Vit D & it's other co-factors & I believe this is fine.

I think it should still help, whatever time you take it.

I must admit I've never heard of Vitamin C interfering with sleep. Perhaps you could just give it a try and see what happens. If it does interfere then move the time earlier in the day.

Thank you 😊 I did start to take it at night with my iron, but I will give it another go.

Much appreciated HB.

I struggle to fit in my iron now I'm on T3 3 times a day. Does anyone know if you can use this spray within, say, 2 hours of taking T4 or T3 rather than the requisite four hours? That would be a tremendous help!

I'll pose a new question particularly as I'm trying NDT for the first time myself and have also found I can't tolerate taking iron at night as I was once able too.

I've bought the spray and am trying it for the first time today. However 4 sprays only gives me 5mg of iron whereas I normally take 20mg....I'm hoping it absorbs so well that I will have enough to maintain my ferritin.

That's a good point. Maybe the fact it's absorbed straight away possibly means one doesn't need as much in comparison to taking tablets. I'll do some investigating. I'll order some myself, give it a whirl & see what happens.
