I'm recently diagnosed with hashimoto's. I've been sitting out in sun everyday for 20-30 mins to try get my vitamin d. However I've suddenly developed prickly heat which I've never suffered with before even in extreme heat abroad etc. Is it linked?

Sorry I can’t help you. I know I’ve got much more sensitive to heat / sun as I’ve got older but that doesn’t answer your question.

If you don’t get an answer to your question post another new post on Monday.

Hi fruitandnutcase,

Thanks for replying anyways :) Yes I'm definitely more sensitive to heat and cold too. It might not be related at all just thought it was strange that I've suddenly had this reaction.

Hi Diane

I’ve had prickly heat and hashimotos for over 25 years. It is only in the last year I have finally got my results to optimal instead of just in range and for the first time ever I haven’t had the rash and awful itching.

Hopefully when you get your treatment right it will go 😊

On a side note sun worshiping didn’t raise my vit D levels at all and I ended up having to supplement.

Hi Hele,

Thank you for replying :) Another thing to add to the ever-growing list then lol Glad to hear yours is gone. Hopefully as you say once I get my treatment right it will go too. This disease effects so much, I didn't even realise the half of it!

Im waiting on my vitamin D test results before I start to supplement so been trying to soak up as much as I can.
