Hi guys this is the third time I’ve written this 😂
I’ve recently been diagnosed with hashimotos and I’m struggling a bit I’m male 42.
I’ve been feeling so bad for about 8 weeks symptoms are......
Tinnitus
Eye floaters
Pins and needles in hands
Tingling in my body
Weakness
Fatigue
No energy
No concentration
Memory is pants
Tiredness
Insomnia/ broken sleep
Internal tremors
Shakes
Burning feet
Dry itchy skin
Either to warm or cold
Broken nails
No libedo
No appetite
Can’t be bothered with anything
Irritated
Blurred vision
Pressure/pulling under left rib
Bloating
Constipation/loose stools
Excessive wind
Joint/muscle pain
Joints clicking/cracking
I could go on......
My blood tests are.....
Tsh 11.4 (0.35-5.00)
T4 11.5 (9.0-21.0)
B12 274 (200-883)
Folate 4.5 (3.1-20.0)
Ferritin 523(15-300)
I’m being tested for celiacs and pernicious anemia tomorrow cause I think especially b12 maybe adding to my problem. I’m also booked in for a ultrasound next week and I’ve been referred to a gastro and a rheumatologist.
My question is could all these symptoms be down to hashimotos or do you think I’m right to think my b12 is low?
Also I’ve just changed doctors so we had a look back at my blood results over the last 15 years when I’ve been ill for weeks and my thyroid has always been above 5.0 my folate always below 5.0 my b12 was always lower 200s and my ferritin above 500 any ideas what this points to..have I always had hashimotos and a b12 deficiency it would explain my periods of illness throughout these years and the foggy tiredness aches and pains I’ve always had and thought was normal or does this point to another autoimmune disease????
