How frequent to test thyroid after medication change

Hiya, waiting to get thyroid levels right (or TSH anyway, antibodies are another story ...) to start fertility treatment. My thyroxine dose changed 3 weeks ago. How long do I need to leave it realistically before testing again? I read somewhere that four weeks seems reasonable to reflect any changes. What do others think? Thanks in advance.

It's generally advised on here to wait 6-8 weeks after a dose change. I personally need 8 weeks for levels to stabilise and feel the full effects.

Hi,

I agree with SeasideSusie, It is normally around 6-8 weeks. I have just been retested and waiting for results. They were last done in January.

This time allows the body to fully absorb the medication and get used to it.

Hope this helps?

:)
