What's in your multivitamin powder? Link to it if you like.

The normal amount of K2-mk7 is 90-100mcg.

For magnesium you need to choose the form which is most suitable for you naturalnews.com/046401_magn...

Check what the pack says, it's often around 350-400.

Is vitamin K2 daily dose 200ug enough?

(This particular product is combined with vitamin d 20ug )

Thank you

No it's too much. 90-100mcg is the amount needed for up to 10,000iu D3.

So, too much K2 can be bad? Live and learn... :)

(I take 50-100ug vitamin d daily)

It's a fat soluble vitamin, like D3, so presumably excess gets stored. Also, it's quite an expensive supplement (well, the decent quality ones are) so no point in wasting money :)

Good points!

In this case I was looking at two products, both have Mk7 K2, other one has double the amount (+d), but is cheaper. Hmmm.

As with most multivitamins it's not worth taking.

It contains iron which will affect the absorption of everything else, and it contains calcium which interferes with iron absorption. Also, calcium should be tested and only supplemented if found to be deficient.

It contains folic acid and methylfolate is better as not everyone can convert folic acid.

It contains K1 which is the blood clotting form of Vit K, we need K2 when using D3 to direct the extra uptake of calcium to bones and teeth where it is needed and away from arteries and soft tissue where it can be deposited and cause problems.

Best to test and supplement where needed.

I like Healthy Origins, it's got just 2 ingredients - K2-mk7 and Extra virgin olive oil. It's a US brand so not available in many places, I use this supplier as it's the cheapest I have found and good customer service bigvits.co.uk/product.php?p... - that size is best value.
