Low energy mostly

If you’re not feeling well, there’s plenty of wriggle room there for a dose increase - say a raise of half a grain to start with?

I am afraid it might suppress my tsh and may result in heart palpitations

A suppressed TSH does not cause heart palpitations. It doesn't do anything, actually. It will be suppressed because you don't need it anymore. So, don't worry about that. :)

It is normal for TSH to be suppressed when you are taking medication containing T3. You will only start to be overmedicated if your FT3 goes over range, and your is far too low at the moment.

Do you take all of your NT at the same time, or in two doses? Is NT available in quarter grains?

Nature-Throid is usually available in quarter-grain tablets.

Whether it is currently available is another matter!

Naturethroid is starting to be more readily available now . Some doses maybe more than others .

I was in same position and similar numbers. I raised my NDT by 15mg and am now feeling palpitations, although my body temp is now normal and I am sleeping, go figure. Perhaps if this doesn't work for you, you should test reverse T3, or perhaps an additional bit of just T3 only will help if you're not a good converter.

Dividing the daily Nature Throid dose in half helped me not to experience the meds wearing off in the late afternoon. I felt it in my chest until I divided my NT in half (5:30am and 3:00pm). Just remember no food 2 hrs. before and 1 hr. after taking each dose.

Also, I ended up adding a base of tiny bit of Levoxyl (T4 only), 25-50 mcg rotating basis, in the am to get my free T4 up. I am also on 1.5 grains of NT. Not everyone needs to do this, but NT just never raised my Free T4 enough on its own.

Give yourself 4-6 weeks before retesting blood labs after a med change.

Hi. I also have Hashimoto's thyroiditis. I am a certified health coach who works with a functional MD and Naturopath whose specialty is the pathology of the thyroid. Your labs are sub-optimal/low. You most likely will not feel well until your levels are closer to the top part of the range--somewhere in the top 1/4th of that range. Also, you need to address any underlying infections, adrenal gland function, anemia, heavy metal toxicity, methylation issues, nutrient deficiencies (especially Vit. D, zinc, B-vitamins), stress, or other causes of chronic inflammation so that your thyroid medication is able to properly get into the cells and tissues. As far as medication goes, if you do not currently have a doctor who is willing to take you to the top 1/4th of the reference range, you really need to find one that will listen to your concerns about low energy and other thyroid-related symptoms you are still experiencing. You may need more medication to alleviate symptoms while you are investigating and addressing the root cause of your condition. Many people are then able to lower their dosage of thyroid medication significantly once those underlying factors have been properly addressed. :)
