How to Stop Melatonin

Hey 👋🏻,

I’ve stopped melatonin i was taking 5mg for two weeks recently, so i became more depressed so I stopped it , i started to stop it I stopped it after two days from reducing my dosage

Day 1 :- 2.5mg

Day 2 :- 1.25mg

Day 3 :- off

So I’ve read that i should stop it every week not everyday , from 8 month i stopped it before like this but I stopped it immediately not reducing the dosage after 1 month then became hypo haply , I don’t think there is link between being stopped melatonin immediately without reducing the dosage and became hypo, anyway is there is any side effects of that ?

I have read that the best way to take it is to stop as soon as you feel great (very hard to do!) and start again when the symptoms return, sometimes called pulsing. Everyone is different so you can't say take for x days then stop for x days
