My doctor finally agreed to test my blood for thyroid antibodies, but I am suddenly concerned that he hasn't put the correct ones on the request form. He has written:
"Thyroid Function Tests (TFT) (TFT)
Thyroid Peroxidase Antibody (TPO) (TPO)
THYROID RECEPTOR ABS (TRAB)"
I am particularly concerned that the last one is not right. But perhaps it is?
Any help would be appreciated.

I had seen on the forum that the last item on my list of antibodies to be tested relates to Graves' Disease. Does this mean that it is an irrelevant test when one has been diagnosed with hypothyroidism?
Do I need to get the request form changed to Include the test for TG antibodies or is it sufficient as it stands for diagnosis of Hashimoto's?
Thank you very much for the very interesting links.
