Hi,

I am soon to start taking T3 and wondering if it helped any of you in anyway?

In particular did it help with hairloss?

Thank you

I was on Levothyroxine for about four years. Dose gradually increased to 200mcgs a day. It did nothing for me and made me feel poisoned. I began taking Liothyronine (T3) about three years ago. This is now all I take, at a dose of 60 mcgs a day. It has given me my life, and my hair back. I had two bald patches at the front of my head. It’s taken a couple of years but I now have my hair back.

T3 saved my life... literally. It helped with everything. I'm T4 intolerant so T3 is a magic bullet. It's more active then T4 so it should help. The main difference is how you dose. Some people are real sensitive to when and how they take it. I can take mine all at once others need to space the dose out.

Yeeeeeees T3 saved my life as well cured all my problems that and a healthy diet I also am T4 intolerant even the smallest dose cripples me brings me to my knees T3 is my guardian angel getting the dose right didn't take me that long I been on T3 for fifteen years after trying every other avenue and knocking on deaths door it was and always will be my only option so I have written to drug's companies to beg them to bring the price of T3 down i the same as other people are living proof that T3 WORKS FOR US 💗

Yes. I take 20 mcg of T3 with 100 mcg of T4. I no longer feel cold. I have stopped snoring and no longer have air hunger. My memory has improved. I haven't grown back hair, but I am no longer losing it. Careful how you start taking it, it takes time for your body to get used to it. Start low and slow eg small dose every other day and build up over a few weeks is how I did it. It really worked for me.

Don't give up in going to keep taking T3 no matter what it saves lives we deserve to have a life we don't ask to be I'll and I will do anything to keep well I been on T3 for fifteen years out of necessity my doctor wants me to continue but it is exspensive my consultants put me on it in begging drug companies to bring the price down they would still make a huge profit from this drug some of us so desperately need how dare anyone say we don't need it who ever says that clearly hasn't been on deaths door .. whilst taking a drug like T4 that does not suit everyone other wise we wouldn't be on T3 would we 👍

Thankyou for your reply. My gp has referred me back to The endocrinology department, but they may not see me as I’m not ill (yet) so I may have a trip to Greece if I can’t get it back!

Hi there I have been on T3 for fifteen years with no problems at all I'm on T3 only and me personally I thrive on it T4 gave me severe allergic reactions so T4 IS Not for everyone the same as any other drug T3 for me over a little time and healthy diet gave me my life back simple as and for me it is all I need I don't have no thyroid symptoms at all on it, my hair gradually grew back and I'm in pretty good health I use a mild shampoo and gentle skin care range also I take vitamin D sea kelp and cod liver oil and coconut oil take half T3 tablet three times daily perfect dose for me and my lifestyle this drug has saved my life and gives me a relatively good life like I say I been on it for at least fifteen years T4 is a no no for me works for some poeple and most definitely not for others and I thank my consultants for putting me on it all those years ago I wish you well your hair will grow back try not to stress to much I can't speak highly enough about T3 but getting the dose right is still important but I'm happy to stay as I am for the rest of my life .💕🕊💕
