Hello, I was taken off Carbimizole last month after taking it for 18 months. I am hyperthyroid and have Graves disease.

Over the last two weeks I've have a horrible metallic taste in my mouth and wondered if anyone else had experienced this problem?

Thanks.

Welcome to the forum Bungeesmummy,

Metallic taste in mouth is a common thyroid related symptom. It may indicate that your thyroid hormone levels are wrong, so talk with your GP about another thyroid test soon in case you've gone hyper again. Or you may even now be hypo and in need of hormone replacement.
