All I can say is, I’ve been on Weightwatchers again since NY and have followed it religiously and have only dropped 1lb! I lost almost 3 stone in 2013, when my meds were optimal, but last year, I had some heart problems and have osteoporosis. Endo panicked and reduced my meds right down, resulting in me being under medicated and putting on a stone. For me, weight lass was quite slow even when properly medicated 1-2lbs per week. Without proper meds - no chance. Hope you have better luck.x

Post your thyroid results. If you have low in range T4 and T3 there is your answer!

If your doctor is worried about your weight, it hasn't struck him that your dose of levothyroxine may be too low?. Due to hypo - which means low - our metabolism is so low that weight can increase easily due to having very low thyroid hormones. They know few clinical symptoms. On the list below I think you will have more than a couple:-

If you can get a print-out of your blood test results with the ranges from the surgery with the ranges, put them on a new post and you will comments.

All blood tests have to be at the very earliest, fasting (you can drink water) and allow a gap of 24 hours between last dose of levo and the test and take afterwards. This helps our TSH to remain higher as it drops throughout the day and may mean the difference of being given an increase or not.

Levo should be taken first thing with one full glass of water and wait an hour before eating. Food can interfere with the uptake of the hormones.
