Local private endo and T3 sourcing help please : )

Hiya,

Im hypothyroid and on levo that has helped my symptoms about 50%. Im hoping to keep improving by getting full thyroid testing (GP refuses) and seeing a private endo that can prescribe T3 if needed.

Please could I have some recommendations via pm for sympathetic endos in the Hampshire/West Sussex area (im in portsmouth) and then where to source T3 online as private uk presciptions would be too expensive.

First step is to get full Thyroid and vitamin tests

Or post results and ranges if you have these already

For full evaluation you ideally need TSH, FT4, FT3, TT4, TPO and TG antibodies, plus vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12 tested

Essential to know if you have Hashimoto's also called autoimmune thyroid disease, diagnosed by high thyroid antibodies

See if you can get full thyroid and vitamin testing from GP. Unlikely to get FT3

Medichecks Thyroid plus ultra vitamin or Blue Horizon Thyroid plus eleven are the most popular choice. DIY finger prick test or option to pay extra for private blood draw. Both companies often have money off offers.

All thyroid tests should be done as early as possible in morning and fasting and don't take Levo in the 24 hours prior to test, delay and take straight after. This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results
