Case study needed for possible new TV programme

Thyroid UK has been approached by a production company who are currently in talks with BBC Three about an idea around body image.

They are discussing an idea that shows a ‘day in the life’, where people would get to tell their own personal stories through their own eyes and in their own words.

They would like to see what it’s like to be them, the reactions they get, good and bad, and generally what it’s like living their life.

They are looking at raising awareness and shining a light on some of the more obscure and lesser known lives that people may go through. The idea is that although everyone is different, we all do the same daily things.

Currently they are looking for people who have gained weight due to circumstances beyond their control, such as any medical reasons. In particular they are looking for young people (around 16-35) to share their experience about this.

If you’re interested, please let us know - enquiries@thyroiduk.org
