I’m got under active thyroid , had it 18 years and on t3 /t4 combo . Last 3 months suffering digestive problems . Excessive belching and indegestion. Doctors are not coming up with answer . Is there anybody in the same boat as me , who can give me light at the end of tunnel . Especially as it’s affecting my sleep . I’m desperate for advice please.

Only had couple hours sleep due to bad indegestion.
Have looked at your previous posts where you have lots of helpful replies. Please read through them again for answers.
Are you gluten free ?
This is a link with good suggestions to confirm whether or not you have 'low' stomach acid. There are cheaper suggestions too.
I had this since I was diagnosed. I had lots of scans tests even a barium swallow. I find that when my thyroid meds aren’t right for me my swallowing is difficult and painful with chest pain it’s pretty awful to experience!
I’m on T3 only and it’s improved but I’m also being tested for Sjogrens and have been diagnosed with myosotis. Both of which affect swallowing. So sometimes other things can be going on.
But mainly in my experience it was when my thyroid becomes inflamed. It could be for a few hours or days and wasn’t acid at all although it can feel very much like that.
Have you had your levels checked recently?
Have you been fully tested for H Pylori
Are you still strictly gluten free
Have you had change in brand or dose of T3 or T4
Mercury Pharma T3 many have found recently has not been as effective, possibly due to of tablets, all old stock.

Yes my story is very much the same as missfg and i too have been through a ton of tests before the thyroid diagnosis mine is definitley connected to thyroid, the pain is horrid but their is light at the end of the tunnel, going gluten free helped me as im celiac aswell. What are you taking to try and bring relief? I take gaviscon everyday but away from my thyroid meds and this helps, do you have heartburn most days aswell? I have always suffered with indigestion even as a child, you have to try different things to help. I sympathise with you as the pain is truly horrible. Feel better soon.😊
