Shortage of Nature Throid

Help ! I’ve only been on Nature Throid for 2 months after 20 long & wasted years on Levothyroxine- now I can’t get hold of any Nature Throid ? Can someone please advise me urgently ?

There are several other brands of NDT available. The Thai brands are popular, don't need a prescription, are cheaper than NDT from other countries, and work well for many people.

There's a shortage of NatureThroid as RLC have only recently started shipping 1 grain tablets since they upgraded their lab in September. Pharmacies have been limiting how much people can buy but they've been running out as they fulfil backorders. If your usual suppliers can't supply NatureThroid you may want to try an alternative brand of NDT until RLC normal service resumes.

Thanks for this - my pharmacy has also said there’s no ERFA WHICH is the replacement my endo has given me prescription for ?

I’ve also read some people get itchy with the fillers in ERFA ?

There have been shortages of Erfa on and off throughout the year. People can have allergies to any of the fillers in different brands of NDT which is why NatureThroid and WP are so popular due to being hypoallergenic. Unfortunately there is no WP either at the moment.

I paid to see a private Endocrinologist- who I heard was more sympathetic to people like myself who had never felt better on Levothyroxine-

He has given me my dose - just 2 months now on Nature Throid

But I really believe the turning point for me was reading The Thyroid Connection by Amy Myers ! The auto immune regime has changed my life ! But it’s really restricted 😘 and I work in the food biz !

Hi Avidreader, I have been taking Nature Throid for a year and because of the shortage, last week, I ordered NP Thyroid to try. It has arrived today.

I have heard it is stronger so I may drop the dose I take from 3 grains to 2 1/2 grains at first.

You're by the corner and ask pple from EU etc. Armour thyroid is produced in Florida.
