Just wondering if anyone else is having problems getting Westhroid,my usual supplier in USA does not have any & doesn't know when they will get some.I am having to take Thyroid S but not feeling well on it.Would Levo & T3 be a better alternative & if so could someone pm me where to get some.Thanks.

How long have you been taking Thyroid-S? If Thyroid-S doesn't suit you may find Thiroyd better.

Hi thanks for prompt reply ,in the past when I started on ndt I tried Thyroid & Thyroid S & some other naturethoid I think but not very successfully.Westthoid has been really good but now I am unable to get it I'm struggling.I took 3 grains but on the same dose of thyroid S I ache all over with hands & feet being the worst.The last 4 days I have increased to 3.5 grains but no improvement as yet.I am wondering whether to up to 4 grains as I think Westhroid contains 65 per grain where Thyroid S is 60.I don't want to go back to how I felt before finding Westhroid.

The 5mg difference will be fillers not active ingredient. WP and Thyroid-S both have 38mcg T4 and 9mcg T3 in one grain. If tweaking dose doesn't help try Thiroyd.

If they are both the same strength I don't understand why the same dose isn't working but as I said previously I have tried Thiroid & that caused me to come out in large spots everywhere which I don't want to repeat.Maybe I just found one that suited me & will just have to wait it out until I can get more Westhroid.Thank you so much for your help.

the different fillers in different brands affect how we absorb and metabolise thyroid meds.

I am in exactly the same position. I went into a panic when I could not order, and have ordered something else, but the cost! Half my pension just to stay alive.

I was going to go to my lovely GP to ask to trial T3 alone, only to find he had retired! I am now under a doctor who when she saw my TSH level, diagnosed me with hyperthyroidism! She even had a prescription for carbimazole ready! She had not read my notes at all. I asked if she was trying to kill me which was probably not the best response but I was furious and scared. What if I had not known about the thyroid (mostly due to this site!).

So it seems as if I now have a choice - die slowly or live in absolute poverty.

I did order some Thyroid Gold but the order and the money seems to have disappeared into the ether.

No one with any illness should have to fight like this.

How long ago did you send for thyrogold,I have just e-mailed their site asking about equivalent doses to Westhroid.I like you have to find the money for meds from my pension & can't afford them really but having started Thyroid S again I feel really ill & am desperate to get something that works.Did you order from their site or from e-Bay where I think I have seen them or maybe it was Amazon,brainfog back already after only a week on Thyroid S.Hope we can both get sorted soon,I feel your pain with useless GP's

Hi in the same boat and I agree it is very worrying! I was better on Nature Throid but I cannot get it so bought Thyroid S. It has really set me back !

Straight from the site. Good news is that the money is showing going out of my bank account (through Paypal) this afternoon so maybe something is happening! Paypal has a sort of insurance if things go wrong, I think. I am fed up with having paid full NI for over 40 years, I am having to fund my own health. Because of the date I was born, I get less pension than a man born on the same day too. Sometimes I think the Gods hate me!

I sent an email last night a few minutes after I ordered because I didn't get one from them.They answered straight away although it was about 8 pm also answered my query RE dosage when changing from Westhroid.She said about 2 weeks for delivery but could be a little longer because of Christmas.I also think it's disgusting that I have to fund my own treatment after paying in to the system all my life but what alternative do we have,I can't bare the thought of going back to the way I felt on Levo.Hope both of us feel better soon.

I was on WP and now use NP which I find just as good

SI have just changed to Thyrovax which is cow not pig,so far so good.
