I posted a few weeks back with my latest results for thyroid check and have high rt3. I've since had my cortisol checks done and results are

Waking 6.30 am 9.860 range 6.00 - 21.00

Lunch 12pm 3.420 range 1.50 - 7.60

4pm 6.970 range 0.00 - 5.49

Bedtime <1.5 range 0.00 - 1.99

Your thoughts are appreciated

Is that a Medichecks test? Do they do a graphic so you can see if you follow the normal curve or do they just give the numbers?

Cortisol should be highest in the morning and lower during the day with lowest value at bedtime.

Your waking sample is low, midday sample is below mid-range, 4pm sample over range and bedtime - well who knows because they don't actually give a number so it's impossible to say if it's low enough or three quarters through it's range (I find that really strange).

And no DHEA which really needs testing too.

Were there any doctor's comments?

Soph43

Yes. Go back to your first post in this thread and click on the down arrow V underneath your message then click on EDIT.

Scroll down a bit and below what you wrote in your message you should see ADD A PHOTO so click on that and a choice comes up from where to upload your picture. Add your picture then click the green button EDIT RESPONSE.

If you can't get it to work then start a new thread and add the photo there.

Ok you can see the doctors comments. My dhea sulphate was tested several months ago and results were

4.3 umol/L 0.03- 6.7

The tests for cortisol were done by medichecks yes and it just says nmo1/L at the side

I agree with the doctor's comments about the high result from the 4pm sample is probably stress related, we have to try and identify the stress and remove it.

I don't know whether DHEA tested months before cortisol is any good.

Check out Dr Myhill's webpage for information on interpreting adrenal test results drmyhill.co.uk/wiki/Adrenal...

I don't rate Medichecks for adrenal tests (but use them for other tests no problem), nor any company that doesn't test DHEA at the same time. They're both important.

How do I identify the stress

SeasideSusie profile image
SeasideSusieRemembering in reply to Soph43

Well, only you can answer that really. Stress comes in many forms, as your results show a form of stress in your 4pm results you'll have to think what happens between midday and 4pm that might cause it.

I wasn't really doing anything that day was just visiting a few shops. All's I know is that around 12.20 I went very very tired and could have easily sat down and slept

I did the Medichecks saliva test a few weeks ago - all times were very low but the early one was practically non existent. I had a short synactin test last Thursday which showed I am producing no Cortisol whatsoever. So, for me, the Medichecks Test was extremely helpful. Clemmie
