hello my friends i have had my blood tests back after a 25mg increase to 125 of levo per day

tsh -0.67 ( 04- 5)

t4 - 16.23 ( 9.-19)

t3 - 3.2 ( 2,6-5)

b12 4 .38

my tsh is low for me and when it starts been very surprised i get a lot of pain, I need to have a tsh above 1 and under 2 to feel well . So i was thinking of taking 125 one day and 100 the next, just to see if it would raise my TSH . I dont no why but will a tsh below 1 i get bad pain .. all advice welcome

You could do a trial of 125 and 100 to see if it works out.

However, your T3 is so extremely low and maybe you need a combination of T4/T3. Low FT3 causes symptoms. You may not be able to convert levo to sufficient T3. Some people are resistant to T4 (levo) and have to take T3 only to be relieved of clinical symptoms.

I don't understand your result for B12 but if it as you state - 4.38 you appear to have none in your body. Also any deficiencies and if B12 is that low you will have problems.

You need B12, Vit D, iron, ferritin and folate and state results along with ranges.

my mistake Shaws the b12 is 438 no decimal point. I think I will try a trial of 125 and 100 , of course, the doctor says all is well ( takes no notice of my pain confusion etc) . I am slowly learning but no there yet because doctors just dont get it

Maybe give him a copy of your ticked off symptoms telling him you are ticked off by not yet recovering :)

The optimum aim for B12 is 1,000 now.

You will have to take care of your own health it would seem to me, with the help from members. Most of us have been there and done that.

If he says 'fibro' tell him that fibro is due to thyroid of thyroid hormone resistance and relief will come when I take T3.

You do know that TSH doesn't cause symptoms, don't you? Whether it's high or low, it doesn't make you feel anything. It's the T3 that causes hypo or hyper symptoms.

no greygoose i never knew that, do you have any logical evidence about the tsh

Logical evidence? Not sure what you would consider logical evidence. I just know what TSH does, and what it doesn't do. It stimulates the thyroid to produce thyroid hormones, and it plays a role in conversion, but it doesn't have any direct effect on any other cell or organ or bodily system. Unlike T3, which is needed by every single cell in the body to function correctly. If there's not enough to go round, or if there's too much, the cells mal-functions, and you get symptoms.
