Mercury liquid And conversion to NDT please?

Dear community,

I’m finally resting flat for a few hours a night, after a profound hypothyroid state for a month which created serious heart symptoms.. leaving me unable to lie down due to pounding heart chest pains sweating with strong chemical odour and nausea..

unfortunately I ended up on beta blockers .. however the liquid thyroxine I was on has been changed from a product Labelled Quantum ( by colonis manufacturing in Greece)

To Mercury liquid on Thursday!!

I’ve experienced.. significant reduction in pounding and now able to lie down. Reduction in nausea, sweating and chemical odour..

but now development of significant joint pain in hips whilst lying down !! This has increased over the few days and wakes me up after a few hours sleep.

Has anyone here experienced joint pain onset with Mercury brand please?

I’m so relieved of the heart symptoms which had me in and out of hospitals and house bound for a month ..yesterday was my first walk outside and such bliss I felt too, to be alive and outdoors in nature.

I’d like to convert off thyroxine to either T3 or NDT as soon as stable and possible and would like to ask how best to do this?

Would anyone know of holistic docs who can assist and guide me in the conversion, I’m in the Cheshire UK region or even Skype consults etc

Thank you community for your invaluable help so far.

Best wishes

JD

Hi Jayne, I’m new here and don’t have the answers, but just wanted to extend my good wishes to you, that you get the advice you need and you’re feeling much better soon. How scary having such a pounding heart; and yes, how wonderful to be alive and in nature :-) I’m sure someone here will have some information soon. Take care.

Jayne-,

1 grain NDT (60-65mg) is equivalent to 65mg Levothyroxine.

25mcg T3 is equivalent to 75mcg Levothyroxine. Heart rate peaks after taking a dose of T3 so you should be cautious and divide into 6.25mcg doses throughout the day to see how you tolerate it.

I would ask your GP to check vitamin D level. VitD deficiency was the cause of significant hip and knee joint pain I experienced.

Hi Clutter thank you for the info..

Vit D looks ok at the mo.

108 .

(Nmol. 50 /200 )

Do you use GP for measuring vits and mins ... I’ve had shockingly poor experience with my GP practice .. they are unwilling to test for anything but TSH T4.

Thank you again for you consideration.

Namaste 🙏

Jayne-,

GP tested ferritin, vitD, B12 and folate in 2013 when endo refused. VitD and folate were deficient. My thyroid is managed wholly by endocrinologist who now also checks vitD and calcium as I have mild osteopenia.

Ahhh thanks Clutter..

interesting

I’ve recently had a consult with a naturopath.. who recommended 5000iu D3. So I believe it’s onky just into good levels ..

And iodine.. I wonder what are the thoughts on iodine.. generally and how is it best measured.

Regards

JD

108 is good. I wouldn't take 5,000iu daily. 5,000iu alternate days Oct-Apr should be sufficient.

Once my vitD deficiency was corrected I used 5,000iu as a maintainence dose for 9 months. It was far too much and vitD was 390. For 3 years I take 5,000iu per week most of the year to maintain my vitD around 100. I increase to 10,000iu per week during the winter.
