Any advice on whether I should separate neomercazol from the other meds/vitamins I take is appreciated. Besides 10mg neo I also take vitamin D, iron plus C, magnesium, krill oil, selenium and nexium for reflux.

I was taking 40mcg a day of carbimazole when I was on block and replace. It was only the levothyroxine I took well away from everything else.
I used to take that when I woke up at around 06.00 the take my carbimazole (I took all 40mcg at the same time) along with my blood pressure meds, my B12, vitamin D spray, CoQ10 and 1000mcg slow release vitamin C with zinc - my pharmacist told me to take that when I started taking carbimazole.
About two years ago, maybe more, I decided to see if I could get rid of my thyroid antibodies (I did!) so I went totally gluten free, cut out chocolate 😱😱😱 Diet Coke, junk food - alas no more Mcdonalds 😱. Not only that, apart from my antibodies coming right down to almost nothing - I haven’t taken Omeprazole or had heartburn/ reflux since I started my new regime. I have to say that there are times when I would kill for a big fat fluffy sultana scone from the garden centre but generally it’s been worth it..
Thanks for your reply - I went completely sugar free (except fruit) 4 weeks ago and cut out diet soda - I feel much healthier and considering gluten free next
That’s great, you’re half way there already. i didn’t find going GF difficult, mainly because I have a few friends who are Coeliac and I’d been cooking for them for years.
I joined Coeliac UK though and got their ‘bible’ of GF foods and ingredients and I make sure I double check all the ingredients in everything I buy. I don’t eat GF cakes and biscuits etc. Well, I eat the odd piece of Tesco GF chocolate brownie but basically junk food is junk food whether it’s GF or not.
If you think you might be Coeliac get checked out before you stop eating gluten because you need to be eating it for the test to work. My rheumatologist was going to test for it last year but I said I didn’t want to start eating gluten again to find out.
