Adrenal fatigue/chronic insomnia

Hello is anyone out there suffering with chronic insomnia which having researched it has all the signs of fatigued adrenal glands? GP not interested. Thank you

I'm sorry you've had no replies.

Has your GP checked serum cortisol?

You can order private saliva cortisol tests which many members think give a better picture of cortisol levels via Blue Horizon or Medichecks via thyroiduk.org.uk/tuk/testin...

Thank you for the reply. GP won't do it as says cortisol testing is unreliable and even if it was low/high nothing they could do. Just suggesting sleep hygiene and exercise which I've been doing for years! I will have a look at the private ones thank you again.

Your GP is talking rubbish. If serum cortisol is below or above range it needs further investigation, usually short synacthen testing as a hospital outpatient.
