Can anyone recommend a high quality and potency vitamin and mineral supplement...

...that does not contain iodine? Many doctors recommend a high quality vitamin and mineral supplement during peri-menopause, but all the products intended for women going through the change that I have found contain 150-200 mcg of iodine (100-133% of RDI). I prefer to avoid iodine as I have Hashimoto's. So if anyone knows of a good product (preferably one containing iron as my iron levels are borderline low), I'd really appreciate it.

You cetainly don't want a multivitamin, they're really no good and generally full of the cheapest and least bioavailable ingredients and in such small quantities they wont help. BadHare posted a link today which you might find useful healthunlocked.com/thyroidu...

I'd get your vitamins tested to see if you need to nudge them up to optimal levels but for a decent mineral complex that doesn't contain iodine, iron or calcium l use this one biocare.co.uk/mineral-compl...

There's absolutely no point in taking a multi containing iron as nothing else will be absorbed. Iron needs to be taken two hours away from other supplements. If your iron needs a nudge up then include lots of iron rich foods in your diet, the main one being liver (no more than 200g a week due to it's high Vit A content) apjcn.nhri.org.tw/server/in... or take a separate iron supplement well away from everything else (four hours for thyroid meds)
