Had no thyroid tests prior to TT for palliary carcinoma , so never knew if I had antibodies, but because my bowel stomach is always uncomfortable and bloated, often wondered what my status had been.
Anyway I have to type out th report.
Serum thyroglobulin level <0.1ug/L
Thyroglobulin autoantibodies 2 kU/L
Thyroidglobulin antibody status Positive
Report comment
THyroglobulin antibodies interfere with the assay for thyroglobulin.
Thyroglobulin (Tg) in thyroid cancer patients after TT and 1-131 ablation <0.1 ug/L
Can anyone explain above, I am right in thinking I'm positive for antibodies.
I have started on gluton free diet just 4 days ago , not deal improvement but if
I was positive I would keep going . Thanks for any help

Post thyCa thyroidectomy thyroglobulin is used as a cancer marker rather than a measure of autoimmune antibody levels.
Thyroglobulin <0.1 with thyroglobulin antibodies 2 means your results are very low indicating a lack of thyroid activity which means it is unlikely there is any cancer recurrence. I was told that as long as thyroglobulin remains <6 and thyroglobulin antibodies remain <20 it is unlikely cancer will have recurred.
You don't have Hashimoto's so you can abandon the g-f diet if you wish.
