Hypothyroid: TSH 11.37 Taking 125 levothyroxine... - Thyroid UK
Hypothyroid
Tanne You're undermedicated to have a TSH of 11.37. The aim of a treated hypo patient generally is for TSH to be 1 or below or wherever it is needed for FT4 and FT3 to be in the upper part of their respective reference ranges when on Levo.
Do you have results for FT4, FT3, thyroid antibodies, Vit D, B12, Folate and Ferritin. If not ask for them to be done. If you do then please post results with reference ranges for further comment. Ranges vary from lab to lab so we need to know the ranges your lab uses.
And perhaps you can give some further information as there's nothing in your profile, eg how long have you been diagnosed hypothyroid, how long have you been on 125mcg Levo, have you even been on a higher dose, if so why was it reduced, do you take any other medication that could affect Levo's absorption. Give as much information as possible for members to try and help.
