What a week! Out with the 'duff endo' but in with a new lovely supportive GP

What a week this has been, I shall be forever grateful to the lovely practice nurse who took my blood as ordered by my 'duff ' endo and made sure I had the printed out results myself before my appointment . I spoke with the nurse about what had been happening and how this endo hadn't got a clue. As I am new to the practice I asked her advice on who was the best GP there, who might understand and help me on my road to recovery. She booked me in with the GP whom she thought would be most able to help. She made the appointment for me for a for four days after seeing the 'duff' endo .

My GP appointment was yesterday and I am soooooo happy. I gave him a shortened version of my medical problems over the last 3 years and how all the symptoms matched up to the fact that my levo had been reduced from 125mcg to 75mcg by some idiot that clearly hadn't a clue. We discussed the duff endo problem, which he seemed to find quite amusing and is eagerly awaiting the follow up letter! He then asked "in your mind what is it we should be doing next?" I replied, firstly I would like for now, a repeat prescription for 125mcg of levo and secondly I showed him the list I had made of where the relevant vitamins and minerals need to be in order for me to have the best conversion rate. His reply was "consider it done and we will touch base after your next endocrinology appointment "

My question to anyone out there now is "Is it possible to love more than one person" Because I think I love this new GP just a little and I think my husband (the long suffering one!) may be just a little in love with SeasideSusie who is totally responsible for his favourite liver and onions being back on the weekly dinner time menu after him being deprived for many years!!

It is amazing what a little bit of support and a professional listening to the patients' tales of woe and acting upon them can do for the their esteem.

How many husband's do you have? i.e.the long-suffering one. I trust it was only liver and bacon he was deprived of :)

Hiya shaws, only the one and since you ask its not only the liver and onions he's been deprived of but I feel things could soon be looking up for him!!

Elisabeth41,

Sounds like you've joined a good practice with excellent nurses and doctors.

I've edited your post to flag up to SeasideSusie that she has an admirer.

Clutter Thanks for that Clutter, I certainly am an admirer of SeasideSusie's knowledge and the sound advice that she takes the time to share as so very many of you do. Even reading her name makes me feel better imagining wonderful beaches and fabulous holidays!!!!!

Yep totally understanding your slight GP crush but try not to resort to stalking like I appear to be doing at the minute 😂😂😂

It makes a huge difference doesn't it?
