Bad taste in my mouth

I've got a bad taste, almost metallic, in my mouth that developed 6 weeks after a partial thyroidectomy. Could this be the cause?

The only time I had a metallic taste in my mouth it was because I was pregnant!

Hello Rkozma, I had a metalic taste in my mouth, until I started filtering my tap water, or if you take a zinc supplement if it contains copper that can cause it, you can by zinc without copper

I had a metallic taste in my mouth after starting levothyroxine In 2009. I put it down to the thyroid kicking into life and shedding its Mercury payload from toxic amalgam dental fillings. I've never had that taste since having the amalgams removed in 2011.
