I've found this - the feedback from hypothyroid folk is good. Worth a try?

NO!

Do not touch any sports supplement. They are targeted at body builders so you cannot trust they are made in a safe and sterile environment let alone at the dose it says on the container.

Athletes who compete in cardiovascular events e.g. running, cycling, who dope attempt to get prescription medication illegally for that reason.

You are better posting a question on how to get T3 or how to transition to NDT or thyroid-s.

There's no thyroid hormone in it.

Thanks for your two replies. I read on here a few days ago about folk buying sports supplement T3, saying it was reliable. I am in fact seeing a homeopath on Friday to maybe go along that route. I do have a place I can get T3 but not reliable currently.

We have seen the odd person getting what they feel is acceptable T3 (Liothyronine) from one of the "sports" outlets. Still not an option I would take.

One of the less savoury aspects of the "sports" world is use of Di-nitrophenyl - DNP - a substance behind several deaths. No - not sold as a thyroid medicine but the morals of anyone who would supply it are deeply questionable. As in, do they have any?

My opinion of a company that chooses a name for their product that is obviously intended to confuse? Well, it stinks. Even in your subject line you typed "T3" rather than what they put on their bottles "T-3". Pure deception by them. A technique to drive search engines to them.

I have no idea about the product itself.

The ingredients of those pills are totally different from what you'd get in a T3 pill that's manufactured for hypothyroid sufferers. Look down at the ingredients:

"All Natural Ingredients: Absolute Nutrition Thyroid T3 contains Gugglesterone, Tyrosine, Phosphates, Phosphadityl Choline and Garcinia Cambogia."

Don't be fooled by 'all natural' as if that makes it perfectly OK to take! Gugglesterone comes from Guggul tree sap, which contains substances that affect not only thyroid metabolism but also cholesterol metabolism and the skin. This is NOT the same as the pure liothyronine (T3) that is produced to lab standards for classic hypothyroids.

There's no quality assurance with buying this type of product and it could leave you with more problems than you already have.
