Please can anyone have a look at my iron levels... - Thyroid UK
Please can anyone have a look at my iron levels again. Im confused now
Rmichelle,
Ferritin is very low in range. Ferritin is optimal halfway through range so around 100. I can't see any other iron results. You can raise ferritin by supplement iron which should be taken with 1,000mg vitamin C to aid absorption and minimise constipation.
Rmichelle Your ferritin is low at 24 (20-200), no doubt about that. It should be half way through it's range.
MCV isn't as low as first thought when you had your blurred photo in your other post, but it's at the lower end of it's range.
MCH is low in range at 27.4 (27-31) and you were advised that labtestsonline.co,uk say May be low in iron deficiency, inflammatory conditions and thalassaemia
You have a high ESR which Clutter advised is an inflammatory marker, which ties in with the MCH being low in inflammatory conditions.
Not sure what else to say. Maybe you should do your own research.
