Cortisol saliva test I've messed up, grateful for any advice

I sent away for a Regenerus kit as apparently there has been a problem with the nighttime Medicheck kit which is the last one I did but I hadn't stopped taking the HB etc.

This new kit they are much stricter, ie. no face cream the night before etc. Anyway, got to bed last night and didn't sleep at all, had banging headache and usual backache from crushed T5 but couldn't risk taking any codeine.

On their instructions, it says to take the first morning test which is the most important, 30 minutes after waking up. Well having such an awful night and feel just a bit drowsy by the time it got to 5.30, I thought oh blow this, so I got up waited for 30 minutes and did the first sample and put it in the freezer. Now I am told, like Medichecks say, I should have done the test at about 8 this morning. I don't know what to do. A friend suggested carrying on with the rest of today which I have so far but wash the first tube out thoroughly and do the morning test tomorrow morning. I know all four tests are supposed to be done on the same day so what do I do? I have spent so much on tests and so fed up generally with lack of GP help feel like just not bothering any more and just taking HB and the PS everyone refers to. I have some CBD oil drops which I am anxious to start taking for the pain and of course can't do that until I get this saliva testing out of the way. The last results came back on the HB and rhodiola drops as very high in the morning, high midday and high mid afternoon and very high at night time. So with no supplements was expecting the results to be quite high this time anyway. Thanks.

It's a bit late now perhaps, but do you have the opening times for Regenerus so that you can ring and ask their advice? They may suggest washing out all tubes and starting again tomorrow. Personally, I'd be wanting to strictly adhere to the instructions rather than do three tests today and one tomorrow morning. There has to be a good reason they need to be done in the proper order and at the proper times.

How long have you been off adrenal supplements? When I enquired about repeating my adrenal test I was told that because I was supplementing and using progesterone cream then it wasn't possible to get an accurate result.

Thanks for your reply. I am so thick, it didn't occur to me to phone them and yes you are right they close at 5.00 p.m. I have been off the supplements for about 3 weeks now. I guess one is supposed to do all four in one day to decide what is going on as maybe someone could have a good morning and then not so great the rest of the day. I find it very confusing when they say take it 30 minutes after you wake up, whereas Medichecks say highest time is between 8 and 10. I remember the blood test I first did with them it said to do between 8 and 10 and so did at 9 and it came back top of the range. I am a terrible sleeper anyway and sometimes wake up at 3.30 but always have to get out to the loo at 5.30 but last night was exceptionally bad with no sleep. The last time I did a test with Medichecks, I woke up as usual about 5.30 and then lay there probably stewing until 8.00 a.m. to do the first saliva test. Its a difficult one and no cocodomol is killing me.
