She had a c section and iron was 7, when she left hospital, I'm concerned about iron b12, and also thyroid, cud the 15 be 22?

Please help with my daughters results, she's 14 weeks postnatal
Hi - yes the 15 could be 22 but doesn't need to be. The most urgent thing to sort is her iron level. At those levels she is seriously anaemic and needs to see a doctor and have it sorted fairly urgently. At those levels she may even need a transfusion. Any doctor that has seen these results and not taken action is a bit of a numpty.
Once that has been sorted, then her folate levels really need to be addressed and probaby vit b12 as well. Sorting all these out may relieve the slight strain on her thyroid that her 2.04 tsh level is showing.
I am sure she is feeling absolutely exhausted, never mind trying to look after a newborn as well, so I hope she gets this sorted quickly.

Your daughter's TSH level is too high. She should have an increase in dose to bring it down to 1 or lower. Some need it to be suppressed. Her vitamins/minerals are low and I'll give you a link from yesterday and SeasideSusie has given good advice.

B12 is extremely low. It is now recommended that the level be 1,000 to prevent dementia. Ask doctor to check the intrinsic factor to exclude pernicious anaemia and she should supplement with B12 sublingual methylcobalamiin.
shaws,
Do you have a link about the connection between Dementia and B12? Thanks
I am having a problem with HU at present but will do my best and will give you the link. I have sent HU a message.

This is a link to the PA Society and there is a Community within healthunlocked. and Martin Hooper, recently awarded an MBE for his work re P.A. said that if the B12 is below 500, changes in the spinal column fluid occurs.
Thanks shaws she's not on any thyroid meds though
The iron content is suggesting Anemia and she needs to address that asap. There is a person on here called SeasideSusie who is excellent at interpreting results. The Thyroid levels look ok but there isn't any RT3 or Hashimoto's anti-bodies values.
Thank you, They didn't test any antibodies it was a fight to get the 3 thyroid tests,
Might be an idea to get a private blood test done like most of us have on here and tell her GP to go and have sex with himself rather loudly in front of everyone in the surgery as they don't seem like they want to help, just like most of our Dr's Endo's don't want to I did the BH Thyroid + 12 after seeing an Endo who said 'I can't find anything wrong with you' .. My results came back showing high out of range TSH, high out of range FT4, low in range FT3, high but just in range RT3, VERY high Hashimoto's anti-bodies and a VitD deficiency and as said a NHS 'Specialist' said there's nothing wrong! I sent him a copy of the results and the attached conclusions, he replied to me nearly 5 months later saying 'Some assays are different' and nothing else, completely avoided all the questions and stated T3 is dangerous and it's use it not recommended ... The GP will only waste her time!! She can get more solid advice in here!!
