Mandy950411,

I'm sorry for your pain, anxiety and depression due to the loss of your son. This is a thyroid forum which isn't likely to be much help to you. Click on My Communities on the HealthUnlocked banner at the top of the page then click on +Browse Communities and type "Bereavement", "Anxiety", "Depression" and "Pain" into the Search dialogue box to find communities more suitable for your needs.

Have you had full Thyroid tests including thyroid antibodies. Thyroid issues are often linked to anxiety

Also ask GP to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12

Get copies of your test results with the ranges and post on here for advice. We are entitled to copies of our own test results

Very common with low thyroid for the vitamins I listed above to be too low.

Ask GP to test. You can say you have had advice from the NHS thyroid support group. If antibodies have not been tested, ask that they be done

If GP is unhelpful then you can get private blood tests done

thyroiduk.org.uk/tuk/testin...

Medichecks Thyroid plus ultra vitamin or Blue Horizon Thyroid plus eleven are the most popular tests. DIY finger prick test or option to pay extra for private blood draw.

All thyroid tests should be done as early as possible in morning and fasting as this gives highest TSH, which is main thing medics look at

Hello,

Your symptoms sound like histamine intolerance. I've also got that and realized it recently when I started having astmha ,depression and pannic attacks out of the blue for no reason after consuming copious amounts of what I thought were healthy organic strawberries.

I'm sorry about the loss of your son. That must have been a huge stress on your adrenal glands. And often people with weak adrenals do suffer with histamine intolerance issues. Do you get worse after consuming alchohol or eating high histamine foods like eggplants? If so a low histamine diet will hugely benefit your panicks attacks , depression and asthma.

Also, regardless of histamine, asthma and depression are telltale signs of inflammation. I think you would hugely benefit from going gluten free nevertheless.

I personally saw a big difference in my mood by eliminating gluten, dairy and eggs.
