Hi
Does anyone know how I can get Arcacia free Levothyroxin, what brands are Arcacia free and is it just a case of shopping around different chemists?
Hi

S-bailey,
I think Actavis (also known as Almus) and Wockhardt are acacia free. Check in this link thyroiduk.org.uk/tuk/treatm...
Are we sure that Almus is still re-packaged Actavis?
Helvella,
Do you have other information?
Look at Almus' site:
almus.co.uk/generics-produc...
On that page, Almus Levothyroxine is not indicated to contain lactose.
If it does contain lactose, the linked page needs urgent correction.
If it does not contain lactose that page needs urgent correction as the photographic identification is for Actavis.
I am still waiting for Almus to reply to me.
Helvella,
I see. Tablets shown are Actavis but Actavis does contain Lactose.
Quite!
So I have rung Almus. They are going to check with manufacturer - Actavis - just in case the product supplied is not 100% identical to what is sold as Actavis' own.
I am told to expect an email in the next few days.
I did point out that the page is wrong - either way!
Workhardt make is acacia free.
Many thanks to all those who replied
