My last b12 reading was 368 - still struggling even though I take iron for low ferritin. Slowly increasing but have to tackle the reason for low ferritin soon - heavy periods!
But in the mean time I have read somewhere b12 is best around the 500 mark, what can I do or take myself to improve this level. I think the doctors just don't understand x

Heavy periods = hypothyroidism. Have you have latest blood test results, i.e. TSH, T4, T3, Free T4, Free T3 and thyroid antibodies. Tests should be at the earliest possible, fasting and allow a gap of approx 24 hours between last dose and test and take afterwards.
