Research has shown that Levothyroxine taken at bedtime may be more effective. You should leave 2 hours between eating and drinking and taking Levothyroxine. If you wake regularly during the night/small hours you could take Levothyroxine then.

Some prefer early morning dose when stomach is empty and wait an hour before eating. Food interferes with the uptake of the hormones. I find morning best for me and easier and you can get on with your daily life without remembering to take levo.

Some prefer bedtime dosing and as long as you've last eaten about 3 hours previously (if you've eaten protein as it takes longer to digest).

thanks ..i just ask because i want to know when thyroxine is better absorbed.i think its better in the morning too.
