I am a female and have 2 bones at the base of my neck. which is normal, but they seem to be getting larger. There was always little space fom one bone to the other. The space is now almost nil. Is this a problem

I'm presuming you are talking about your collarbone. Mine feel very close together but I can't say I've ever noticed any difference. Have you lost a bit of weight in the area? That could well be why you are noticing it.

Thank you, but I have not lost weight

I suspect it could be arthritis, common in those bones at base of neck, mine are similar.

You can start to get a bit of a hump with Cushings disease. Unlikely. If you're very hairy too it may be worth getting your cortisol tested.

Best see your GP if you're concerned.

It could be arthritis, as I am very arthritic in other areas. Thank you
