Hi fellow sufferers and troopers!...I'm just interested to know how you have gone about getting the adrenals in balance after the highs/lows/fatigue that seem to go hand in hand with hypothroidism and hashimotos! ...Was it concentratre on adrenals first then thyroid or ...thyroid then adrenals followed on due to better functioning/medicated thyroid? ..Was an adrenal glandular (bovine) used(cortex or whole?) ..or...adaptogens/herbs...vitamins? diet?therapies?.....Or was it a change in thyroid medication that maybe was key? Also what changes did you notice in symptoms when using any of these different avenues?..Thanks I know it's all personal and subjective but personal experiences do help...I really need to crack this!!

i am treating my adrenals first. i have my vit d, b12, ferritin, folate, mqgnesium, vit c, all at optimum levels now. I have started ndt and mayby shouldnt yet but am on a very low dose. i have found my change in diet has contributed to most of this. i was living on lettuce leaves for years but changed to a no carb/sugar diet. Still a long way to go. I am on constant steriods so its hard.

That's great news that your vitamins are optimal...did you use supplements or was it through the better diet?good luck with the ndt ..hopefully you will romp on!

A bit of both. I have stopped most of the supplements now to see if there is any change in my next blood test without them. I am working on the principle of heal the adrenals first. Two weeks ago i was doing so well i went overboard and did to much. "I am cured" My mind was telling me. Ha ha. Then bang. I was floored and back to sitting on sofa all day. So now i am looking into working on my temeratures to tell me when enough is enough. What have you noticed about your temperatures

Hi. ..my temperature never gets to where I want it to be but I believe you may never get it spot on with the condition we have!I've been working on vitamins *they were in range but not optimal*and have been tweaking adrenal glandular and ndt but can't seem to get it right!..So hard when you are doing it solo !...I'm wondering whether to switch my brand of ndt for another ...hopefully will get there in the end !!Hope you get back to feeling like you did ! ;)
