Yes, it works. Whether it's the best NDT for an individual is another matter and the correct dose is the one that alleviates symptoms.

Yes, it works very well; in fact, it's the brand that has worked best for me so far. I have been on both Armour and Erfa, but find Thyroid-S to work better at a fraction of the cost (prescription NDT is very expensive in Belgium). It does contain a lot of fillers, and that made me hesitate at first, but I have been doing so well on it that I no longer worry about that.

Like LuckyKat said, the right dose for you is a dose that makes all your symptoms go away, leaving you with no hyper or hypo symptoms.

I am now into my third year of Thyroid S and very happy with it but I did a couple of years watching and listening beforehand so I shall share that with you. originally Thyroid was sold alongside Thiroyd, it still may be but I've. Hanged suppliers so I don't know but I noticed those who were on Thyroid S and were happy but didn't like the fillers tried the other, myself included, but felt dreadful and vice versa. So if you can't get on with it it does happen.

When I was first diagnosed about 30 years ago I was started on NDT. I changed to Levo as a strike left me without meds for 3 months and I was fine. I had three children and no problems till I was menopausal so I went back on NDT.

So I had been thinking about it for two years listening to what others said and done and eventually asking questions before I started.

Now I would have said I thought I knew all I needed to know. I cautiously lifted my dose to 3 grains but couldn't raise it any further and although I felt well I thought I was t quite there. My Endo told me to drop back from 3 grains to 1.75. I went very slowly, convinced he had got it wrong but he was actuallright!

So if you do go ahead, read and learn all you can about it, take it slowly and realise that being under. An feel the same asgiing over with some of the symptoms. Evan now if I thing I'm not too good I always drop back a little to make sure whether I feel better or worse and take it from there. My problem was I knew I was r right do I took another quarter and still not right I rose again. So easy to do so get to listen to your body and learn allyou can and don't. E afraid to shout out if you need some help.

Thanks for sharing your story and telling me to just go slow and listen to my body.

Sometimes, as we are so wanting to feel better, we try to do things so quickly and it often backfires. If we over do things we can end up having to start again so may me not as easy as we thought and dents us back further. Another could tip as well if you want to take supplements etc is just to add one at a time with about two weeks inbetween. Nothing worse than coming out in a rash and not knowing which one to blame!
