Joannagof,

Levothyroxine can cause hair loss but it will usually improve once you are optimally dosed.

I completely understand how worrying it is to lose your hair. Most times it can be a clinical symptom of hypothyroidism which, as dose is increased to optimum, hair problem may resolve. However, make an appointment with your GP to look at your hair as you may have an autoimmune condition and, if so, he should advise what steps should be taken, or a referral.
