hello everyone, I am new here and I have hopes that I will find help here
I have thyroid problems about 3 years and still, my results are jumping up and down.. I started thyroxine by 25mg, now I use 75 mg.. and all this unbalance gave me one more problem, risen prolactin.. so I don't have normal menstruation cycle about two years, or one and a half. My prolactin results at the beginning were double, but now it is even smaller that minimum, but still, doctor gives me quite a big amount of medicines to drink. I am frustrated because at this moment my TSH is about 9, prolactin 1,2. My current doctor does not show much interest in my case, can someone offer a good doctor? Besides, one interesting fact my thyroid is inactive but sometimes my hands are shaking (it is too active thyroid symptom). Maybe someone is Dr Hisham Maksoud patient? Is he a good doctor?

You are very undermedicated to have TSH 9.0 while taking 75mcg Levothyroxine. The goal of Levothyroxine is to restore the patient to euthyroid status. For most patients that will be when TSH is 0.4 - 1.0 with FT4 in the upper range. FT4 needs to be in the upper range in order that sufficient T3 is converted.
