Would low FT3 cause night anxiety

I'm having the most terrible nights. I wake at around 4 am and it starts. I feel so anxious for no obvious reason and have the most vivid dreams. It's becoming a real problem. Last week my FT4 was 21 (0.3 - 5.5) and my FT3 3.9 (3.1 - 6.7). TSH 0.13. Or is it more likely to be the menopause (still having periods) but no hot flushes (age 54).

Can anybody identify with this.

It sounds like helvella has addresses jo really well. I might also say that I had a very similar experience due to low magnesium. I noticed the night panic would get worse when I consumed sugar or alcohol in the evening. So just to throw that in for your consideration. I know low magnesium can be an issue in hypothyroidism too (I'm hyper). Best of luck with addressing it, it's a horrendous symptom- worst I ever had!

Hi Cat4health. Thank you very much for replying. You mention magnesium which is interesting. I do have various aches and pains and I believe that can be caused by low magnesium as well. I will research the best way of taking it. It's such a minefield all of this.

It really is, isn't it?! I guess that's why doctors like to play hear no, see no, say no complexity and pretend one pill will fix everything
