The o my side effect I'm feeling is that I want to eat a lot of ice cream and my tastebuds are funny. For instance I make myself a cup of coffee in the morning as always milk or half n half. The coffee taste bland.
Q. What's the best thing to have w/ Thyroid medicine? Can I substitute water for No sugar added cranberry juice?
Weird. Levothyroxine hasn't affeccted my sense of taste at all.
But when I was ill last year, coffee became undrinkable for 3 weeks, it was too bitter.
Can;t comment on your craving, as I always want to eat icecream! However, you know you need to leave at least an hour between taking your THs & drinking coffee?
What's in the no sugar cranberry juice? If there's anything added but cranberry & water, I'd suggest not to take it. Try adding a small amount of vitamin C powder (ascorbic acid) to help digest your THs. Don't use a fizzy vitamin C tablet as they contain lots of chemicals such as colouring, flavouring & artificial sweeteners. Some people have written they add a little apple cider vinegar of citrus juice to water to increase their stomach acide & improve absorption of THs, but anything else might reduce absorption.
