So it's happened. I promised myself that I would not get myself all wound up and worried. I've started to read up on Hyperthyroidismn. I'm waiting for a diagnosis and I will be seeing an endocrinologist on 18th July. I'm on Carbimazole 20mg at the moment. My beed is all the confusing advice on food and what I should or should not be eating from gluten free! To low carb gluten free no processed foods. I'm all for losing weigh and to be quiet honest I could do with dropping weight. I did not experience any weight loss, if fact it was the reverse.. Can anyone shed some light because I can already feel the stress of this beginning to mount. I'm already stressed with this, mum's death serious relationship break up and now job loss. Looking for a new job with an illness is fun I can tell you! Help.

Enrid, I am hyper, and reading this forum am glad I am not hypo, by the look of it you only have to take meds to stop your thyroid working. You are on CMZ, but if your pulse is fast most people have beta blockers to protect the heart and it makes life much more pleasant. I will try to come off beta blockers soon as poss because I don't seem to lose weight with blockers. But they are important if your pulse is rapid. Endo told me to take selenium to help thyroid. Relax and rest when you need to, I'm just going to let it take its time.
