Red face after exercise

Recently finding that even low levels of exercise (walking a few miles, barely breathing any harder than when at rest) my face is hot and scarlet and I'm soaked in sweat. I know it's hot but it isn't normal for me to look like I've been running when I've been walking. I found the same thing happened last week when I walked to the pool at 4:30, and it was positively pleasant out (not scorching like today). I have ordered a thyroid test to see if I'm overmedicated.

If that is excluded could this be a symptom of perimenopause?

Hi puncturedbicycle . All my life I've been pale but the past few months I've been blushing and flushing. I put it down to a combo of peri menopause and regular high doses of vitamin b12. I think as long as you're not breathless or having palpitations or pounding heart (or both) then you could safely assume the its one of those things. But probably a good idea to check you're not over medicated to be on the safe side

Many thanks. Yes, my heart rate is a bit faster than usual and I'm due for a test anyway so will see what it says. When I googled it I mainly found info about hot flushes, and this doesn't seem like a hot flush.

Thanks again for your reply. If my tft is ok I might ask the gp about a sex hormone test.

My face flushes like crazy when I'm under-medicated - heart rate and blood pressure rise as well. I looked like a clown with bright red cheeks 24/7 lol!

How funny. I get palps when undermedicated. Symptoms can be so mixed up, it really is so frustrating.
