I'm 22, had my thyroid removed when I was 18 due to papilary cancer, and have been on levothyroxine ever since, my periods have always been weird, but never this erratic. I've had a total of 5 in the last year and I'm just wondering if anyone else has this problem.
I'm not on the pill, so i know it can't be that and I'm really getting tired of always wondering if I'm pregnant.

With hypothyroidism the answer is 'yes' that menstural cycle can be upset/interrupted. I shall give you a link.
First of all if you've had a recent blood test, get a print-out with the ranges and post them for comments.
You could well be underdosed. Also, and this is my own suggestion, that due to you having no thyroid gland whatsoever you should have T3 (liothyronine) added to your levothyroxine.
If you've not had recent B12, Vit D,iron, ferritin and folate tested ask for these and post with ranges. Ask GP to test TSH, T4, T3, Free T4 and Free T3 and if he wont do them all, the few left you could maybe have a private test, particularly for FT4 and FT3 that would show if you are converting FT4 efficiently.

Untreated and under treated hypothyroidism may interfere with the menstrual cycle but if you are optimally dosed on Levothyroxine your periods shouldn't be affected. If you post your recent results and ranges we can advise whether you are optimally dosed.
