Members are more likely to share sources where to buy T3 without prescription when you provide some background information first ie recent thyroid results and ranges and whether you take Levothyroxine and, if so, what dose and for how long.

Ah ok sorry about that. We have a family history of hypothyroidism, my mum her sister, their mum and aunts all started to suffer with it in their fifties. I developed rhuematoid arthritis over 12 years ago following a serious back injury, which my gp thought was brought on by the shock, pain and trauma of the injury. I then developed fibromyalgia and was quite ill for a long time. I started experiencing symptoms of hypothyroidism a few years ago, hair loss, my outer eyebrows disappeared,weight gain, difficulty in losing weight, dry skin, always cold, fatigue like i had never experienced before, repeated sinus infections, memory loss confusion etc. My doctors would only test TSH which was always in range and put the other symptoms down to fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis etc and put me on anti depressants. Over the last year i have been really ill, my dad was really worried as he had seen all this with my mam. He paid for me to have blood tests privately which came back as

TSH. 2.2

Free thyroxine. 10.84

Total thyroxine(T4). 85.1

Free T3. 4.46

Antibodies

TA. 18.640

TPA. 35.72

So it was the free thyroxine that was low and the TPA high. The private doctor wrote to my GP to suggest a trial of thyroxine as I was so symptomatic and possible Hashimotos which ties in with my history of autoimmune disease. The GP insisted on repeating all bloods said that the TPA meant i would become hypo in the future but could not prescribe thyroxin as it would be illegal while my TSH was in normal limits. She ignored the ? Hasimotos, the bloods came back exactly the same as the private blood tests. Have read a lot around this and people seem to do better on T3 as throwing T4 at the problem wont help if thrre is a problem with uptake. I used to be a nurse and midwife so have a basic idea about thyroid and autoimmunity. I have now developed a slight swelling on front of neck(? goitre) and she has agreed to send me for thyroid ultrasound to check it isnt too inflamed. Am just desperate and fed up of feeling so ill.

Sheesh, some GPs really believe guidelines are tramlines. Of course, it is not illegal to trial you on thyroxine if she thinks you will gain clinical benefit.

Most people do very well on thyroxine and don't have any problem with uptake. I would recommend you try Levothyroxine first. You may find that taking Levothyroxine or T3 will reduce the goitre.

Thyroid peroxidase antibodies are positive for autoimmune thyroid disease (Hashimoto's). There is no cure for Hashimoto's which causes 90% of hypothyroidism. Treatment is for the low thyroid levels it causes. Many people have found that 100% gluten-free diet is helpful in reducing Hashi flares, symptoms and eventually antibodies.

Thanks for reply, yes i know what you mean about GPs, but she wont budge and said to come back for repeated bloods in 3 months time, i just cant face another 3 months like this. I agree with regard to gluten and autoimmune problems have been gluten free for 2 weeks (not long I know) but will carry on with it and try to heal naturally. GP accepts antibodies are attacking my thyroid but seems to want to try a wait and see approach!!!!!!!
