I've been taking 50mg thyroxine + 6 Nutri Thyroid + 2 NAX for roughly two years and although not completely well have been much better than I was without the medication.
I ran out of the NAX at Christmas and am soon about to run out of Nutri Thyroid ( I see other posts show that no one is able to get any on line at the moment).
Should I start taking NDT to make up for the lack of the supplements? If so -
- how much would I need to take?
- which brand should I get?
- where can I order it from?
Thank you for any advice you can give. I'm also interested in what other people are going to do who can no longer source the Nutri products.

The problem with supplements like NutriThyroid and Metavive is they don't disclose how much active T4 and T3 they contain so it is impossible to estimate how much prescription strength NDT you should take.
Most prescription strength NDT contains 38mcg T4 and 9mcg T3 equivalent to 65mcg Levothyroxine in 1 grain (60-65mg). I would be cautious and start by adding 1/2 grain. Thai NDT Thyroid-S and Thiroyd are the most affordable NDT.
