I know thyroid disorders can affect periods but does the pill affect thyroid? My periods are normal and we're before the pill (was given for pain) I've been on the pill for 6 years, could it mask if my periods are "normal" naturally?
If thyroid were affecting me would my periods change accordingly even if on the pill?

Hypothyroidism can interrupt the menstrual cycle and sometimes periods may stop until optimally medicated.
The birth control pill hormones may lower TSH which may mask hypothyroidism. Ideally you will take Levothyroxine and the birth control pill at least 4 hours away from each other.
If your periods are normal the birth control pill isn't masking anything.
